Is this tour suitable for young children?
Absolutely. This tour is aimed at catering for all ages and children often get the most out of it however we recommend close supervision on the pontoon.
Do children need lifejackets?
It is not a legal requirement however they are on board for emergency purposes. You are more than welcome to bring your own lifejacket if you are concerned.

How long is the tour?
Close Up Tuna Tour is 2 Hours.

Sealion Adventures are 5.5 hours.

Is there a discount for group bookings?
We generally offer discounts for coach groups, school groups and private boat charters. Please contact us if you wish to make a group booking.

Can we bring our own wetsuits, snorkels etc?
We encourage patrons to bring all their own gear however for those travelling we have goggles, snorkels & towels to hire.
Can we fish?
Unfortunately this is not a fishing charter and at present we don’t allow fishing however we are working on it for the future.

What is the cancellation policy?
In the event that Adventure Bay Charters cancel we will offer alternative dates or a full refund. Cancellation by passengers with less than 24hrs notice are non refundable - however in some exceptional circumstances we may offer a special rate for an alternative day.

What happens if the weather is bad?
We are able to go in most weather conditions however in extreme cases we will either postpone if suitable or refund.

Will the tuna bite?
You will be given a demonstration on the correct way to feed the fish.

How do you keep the fish in?
The net is completely surrounding the fish independent of the bottom.
Is there wheel chair access?
We have taken people in wheelchairs very successfully however our toilet facilities are not suitable for wheelchairs. With prior notice we can make allowances.
Can I bring my dog?
In respect for fellow patrons - No.
Is smoking permitted?
Due to current laws – No.
Do I need any dive qualifications?
No – you will simply be snorkelling on the surface.
